Palaiina Seferia

Palaiina Seferia is band of four musicians and two lyricists that got together for a performance at the 2nd Festival of Cretan Music (Athens, 1993) with their song “Epostoroxsan ta nera”. They received the first prize for the lyrics and performance.

Since then they have devoted their work in collecting and recording old traditional melodies that have been played in Crete since the start of the 20th century. At the same time, they spend time creating their own music, based on traditional Cretan musical forms, some of which they have recorded.
