Dittany pure essential oil certified organic - 5 ml

"Dittany of Crete" essential oil is produced from the herb 'Dittany of Crete' (Origanum dictamnus) through distillation.

Dittany's therapeutical properties were known from the antiquity and a lot of ancient philosophers and healers have reported about them (Euripides 480-406 BC, Hippocrates, Aristotle, Cicero 106-43 BC, Theophrastus, Virgil 70-19 BC, Pliny 23-79 AD, Plutarch 46-127 AD, Dioscorides, Galen and others).

Dittany of Crete is also well revered for its magical uses. It is believed that the Oracles of Delphi burned the herb as an aid to prophecy. The oil can be used magically to assist astral projection, dreams, divination, and spiritual journeying.

Dittany's therapeutical properties, according to a study performed by the International Plant Genetic Resources Institute (IPGRI),(8-10 May 1996, CIHEAM, Vallezano-Bari, Italy), are: insectifuge - anti-endemic - analgesic - anti-inflammatory - antiflu - perfumery - antirheumatic - spasmolytic - bactericide - termitifuge - fungicide - anesthetic - herbicide - antiplaque - vermifuge - antiseptic - carminative - tracheorelaxant - expectorant - febrifuge - nematicide - hepatoprotectant - prostaglandin - cicatrizing.

Add 15-20 drops of Dictamos essential oil in 50 gr. of Jojoba oil or Almond oil and massage neck and back to relieve any pain.

With 15-30 drops in 50 gr. of Jojoba oil or Almond oil heal lesions, burns and stings of insects, as well as alleviate acne and oiliness by massaging the face with a few drops of oil.

Moreover "fight" cellulite by dripping 3 drops of essential oil in a natural sponge and massage with circular movements.
